Breastfeeding classes are designed for small groups of up to 10 couples and last approx 2.5 hrs.  Having realistic expectations of breastfeeding, having some techniques under your belt to get breastfeeding off to the best start and knowing how to tell if things are going well are invaluable before you have your baby or in the early weeks.  Classes are priced £30 per person / per couple and cover the following:

  • Why breastfeeding is important

  • How Milk is Made

  • How Supply is set up

  • Instincts and Reflexes in Mum & Baby

  • Birth & Breastfeeding

  • Latching & Attaching

  • Normal Baby Behaviour & What to Expect

  • When things don't go as planned

  • Common Issues in the first few weeks and how to avoid them

  • Reaching your goals / How you see breastfeeding working for you

Register Interest in the next Breastfeeding Preparation Group class

The next class date / time has not yet been arranged, but classes run approximately once every 8-12 weeks.  If you are interested in a future class in any location please register using the following form to receive an email when date has been confirmed.  Classes usually run in Belfast or Ballymena, but can be organised elsewhere for groups of at least 5 couples.  If you would like to arrange a class elsewhere, please get in touch.
